We, the Claretians had begun a new chapter in the Diocese of Salem. Frs. Selvaraj CMF and Britto Prabhu CMF were installed as the Parish Priest and Co-pastor of Mount Carmel Church at Kunnamalai in the presence of Fr. Joseph Paulraj, the Vicar Forane of Thiruchencode Vicarate and Fr. Michael Francis CMF, the Provincial Prefect of Apostolate and many Claretian Missionaries on 14th May 2022.

With the words “Today a great work begins,” pronounced by Mosén Antonio Claret, gathered with five young priests in a small room of the Seminary of Vic, on July 16, 1849, the life of the Congregation of the Missionary Sons of the Immaculate Heart of Mary takes off.
