The Community of Claretian Missionaries, Irendelaiparai is located in the rural setting of Dindigul District, Tamil Nadu. It was erected canonically as ‘Residence’ on 26th March 2019. It is now erected canonically to the status of ‘House’ on 16th October, 2020. The priests earlier were taking care of the Parish, staying in the community of Claretians-LIFE. The main apostolate of the community is Parish ministry. The Parish of St. Joseph was entrusted to the pastoral care of Claretians on 13th July 2010. There are more than 10,000 people of different religions namely Christians, Hindus and Muslims, who live in the Parish territory. Among them 350 are Catholic families as in 2019.
The Parish has 5 substations namely Muthamil Nagar, Srilankan Refugee Camp, Periodai, Soosaiyapuram and Ponnagaram. There are 3 Religious Congregations namely Bon Secours Sisters, Clarist Franciscan Missionaries of the Blessed Sacrament and Servites, helping us in the Parish ministry. The Parish also takes care of Primary School under the management of the Diocese. There are different activities, which are happening in the Parish on a regular basis.
