Ramadevam witnessed a day of profound spiritual joy and historical importance on Tuesday, 13 May 2025, as the faithful gathered for the inauguration and blessing of their newly constructed church — a long-awaited dream that has now come to fruition. The Holy Eucharist was solemnly presided over by His Excellency Most Rev. Dr. Arulselvam Rayappan, Bishop of Salem. He was joined by several esteemed clergy including Rev. Fr. Michael Raj Selvam (Vicar General), Rev. Fr. Jacob (Procurator), Rev. Fr. Clement (Vicariate Forane), along with other diocesan priests and religious, all of whom added grace and spiritual depth to the celebration.
A special expression of gratitude is extended to Fr. Santiago CMF and Fr. Victor CMF from the Dindigul Claretian Life Community, whose joyful participation underscored the spirit of communion and collaboration across diocesan and religious communities. The day stood as a testament to the relentless dedication of Rev. Fr. Selvaraj CMF (Parish Priest) and Rev. Fr. Sebastin CMF (Assistant Priest). Their vision, pastoral zeal, and tireless commitment were instrumental in realizing this sacred project. Their leadership inspired and mobilized the faithful, culminating in the construction of a beautiful house of worship.
The new church, standing in its architectural elegance and spiritual significance, is a symbol of the enduring faith and unity of the Ramadevam Catholic community. The liturgy, enriched by vibrant hymns and active participation, saw around 170 faithful gathered in thanksgiving and celebration.
This milestone event not only marks a new beginning in the pastoral journey of the Ramadevam substation but also shines as a beacon of faith, renewal, and community spirit for the larger Kunnamalai parish.
To God be the glory!
