Fr. Santhanasamy CMF was was born on November 2nd 1957 at Mettupatty, Dindigul, Tamilnadu into a loving and devoted family. He was one among the five children of his parents. He had his minor seminary formation at Claret Bhavan, Karumathur in 1979 and made his first profession on 31st May, 1981. After completing his philosophical studies from 1981 to 1984 in Karumathur, Tamil Nadu and theological studies in St. Peter’s Pontifical Seminary, Claretian Seminary, Bengaluru from 1985 to 1989, he was ordained on 18th December 1988.
Fr. Santhanasamy CMF was an active missionary and particularly known for his commitment in the missionary works. He was good at sports. His relationship with people was very vast. He was well appreciated for his hospitality and receptivity which attracted many friends. In 2015 he was diagnosed with Multiple myeloma. He never let his frail health to be an obstacle or to dissuade him from his missionary work in his last day of life. He eventually died on February 11th at the age of 62.
