Three-Day Feast of St. James Celebrated with Faith and Fellowship at Soosaipuram
Irendellaiparai, July 21, 2025 – The faithful of St. Joseph’s Parish, Irendellaiparai, gathered in joy and reverence to celebrate the Feast of St. James at St. James Church, Soosaipuram, a substation of the parish. The three-day celebration was held from 17th to 19th July 2025, drawing parishioners together in a spirit of faith, unity, and festivity.
The feast commenced on 17th July with the flag hoisting ceremony, followed by the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, marking the official beginning of the spiritual festivities. Each day featured prayerful liturgies and active participation from various parish groups, reflecting the vibrant spiritual life of the community.
The highlight of the celebration was the Solemn Feast Day Mass on Saturday, 19th July, where the faithful gathered in large numbers to offer praise and thanksgiving. The liturgy was followed by a community meal (Anbu Virunthu), joyfully shared by all parishioners, signifying Christian fellowship and family spirit.
For many, the celebration served as a moment of reunion, rekindling familial and faith-based bonds within the parish. Parishioners expressed gratitude for the opportunity to come together, deepen their communal ties, and cherish a shared spiritual experience.
The Feast of St. James remains a significant event in the liturgical and cultural life of the Soosaipuram substation, continuing to inspire unity and devotion among the faithful of Irendellaiparai.
