CLARETIAN ALTAR SERVERS’ GATHERING
Theme: “Called to Serve, Sent to Shine”

Participants: Altar Servers from Kanyakumari Zone Claretian Parishes
On 3rd January 2026, the Claretians Kanyakumari Zone organized a gathering for Altar Servers at Casa Claret. This event aimed to sow the seeds of the Claretian Vocation in the hearts of young boys who serve at the altar. Around 60 altar servers arrived with their Assistant Parish Priests, showcasing a strong spirit of communion among Claretian parishes.
The program commenced with a meaningful prayer service, invoking the Holy Spirit's guidance. Rev. Fr. Stanislaus CMF, Prefect of Formation, officially inaugurated the session. In his opening address, he highlighted altar Serving as the 'cradle of vocation', encouraging the boys to see their service as a personal invitation from Jesus, not just a duty."
The morning was filled with energetic group games emphasizing teamwork and joy, reflecting the Claretian spirit of being 'on fire with love.' Fr. S. Thomas CMF, Vocation Facilitator, led an inspiring session, highlighting young prophets and saints like Samuel, Jeremiah, Dominic Savio, and Carlo Acutis. He emphasized how serving at Mass is the first step toward priesthood and highlighted St. Anthony Mary Claret's passion for saving souls. Sharing stories of Claretian missionaries in challenging terrains, he inspired the boys to dream of heroic service."
The spiritual highlight was the Holy Mass, presided by Rev. Fr. Stanislaus CMF. In his homily, he urged the boys to persevere in faith and embrace the Claretian way, connecting their local service to the congregation's global mission. He reminded them that those who listen humbly, like Mary, are the ones who truly find their path.
The program concluded on a high note of gratitude. Each participant received a special gift, acknowledging their dedication and participation. The boys left Casa Claret with gifts and a renewed passion for the Claretian mission.
